On arrival at the airport meet with our representative who will escort you to the luxury hotel. Relax and get over your jet lag. Enjoy Indian food and have a sound sleep.

We take an early morning flight to Jabalpur. After one and half hours journey we land at Dumna Airport and straightaway proceeds for Bandhavgarh National Park at a distance of 176 km. We will reach in four hours and settle in the luxury resort. The evening safari is full of excitement as well look for the tigers. Bandhavgarh is home to many animals and we will look for them as well. We will come back to our resort and enjoy the evening besides campfire and some good barbecue dinner.

Morning and evening jungle safaris in the quest of the tiger and leopard. These are two targeted species in the park. We will also see the spotted deer, sambar deer and the barking deer in the swampy grasslands. Bandhavgarh abounds in avian species. The peafowl is everywhere but we will also see the golden oriole, black-headed oriole, plum headed parakeet, shama, paradise flycatcher, peregrine falcon, crested hawk eagle, puff throated babbler, and many more bird species. We will see the tiger and photograph it for posterity. If lucky we will also see the wild dogs and the sloth bear which inhabit the preserve.

Bandhavgarh offers elephant rides, the best ones are the short rides that take you right next to the tiger and back. You can film and photograph the big cat with ease atop the elephant. Long elephant safari is also an order of the day but the cost is very high. We will also drive up to Sesh Shaiyya and admire the huge idol of Lord Vishnu besides an enchanting pool in the dense canopy. The two rides will offer many surprises and we will be able to see the tiger as well as many denizens that make this park their home. Our bird checklist is always growing with every sighting. In the evening we will witness some tribal performance at the resort. The dinner is accompanied by dancing and revelry what more do you want?

After a good breakfast, we will drive 250 km to Kanha National Park. En route, we will stop at Fossil Park for a tea break and a look at the fossilized plants dating back to 60 million years. We will reach Kanha by lunch tine and check into our hotel. The evening will be spent visiting tribal villages and the crowded bazaar nearby. The trip offers interesting highlight into the world of forest dwellers the sentinels of the park.

Kanha National Park

Our exploration of Kanha forests begins in the early morning from Khatia Safari Gate. Kanha zone is a prime tiger habitat and we are likely to encounter one. Kanha is also home to the rare and endangered swamp deer. The swamp deer lives in the meadows of Kanha and we are bound to see them. The tiger reserve is home to more than 200 birds and we will carry the best binoculars with use. Most of the birds in the park are forest birds and hence we will see Malabar Pied Hornbill, White Rumped Shama, Indian Pitta, Orange Headed Ground Thrush, Indian Scimitar Babbler, Rufus Bellied Babbler, Alexandrine Parakeet and so on.

Pench is also known as Kipling country as the Jungle Book is based on these forests. We will check in a luxury lodge and have lunch. In the evening we will enter the Turia Gate for trekking wild tigers and many other animals. These dry deciduous forests are home to Indian wolf and we will look for it in the open areas. The evening game drive is short, hence we will be back by sunset.

We will leave Kanha for Pench National Park in the morning post breakfast. This is a five hours drive of 177 km. and we will reach around lunchtime. Elephant rides are available in Pench and we will partake in a tiger show. This will bring us very close to the magnificent beast. Filming and photographing tigers on elephant back is an exotic experience. Other animals that can be seen in the park are the sloth bear, wild dog, bison, wild boar, sambar deer, Nilgai, spotted deer, and gray langur.

The Pench forests are a dry deciduous type and the terrain is full of mixed forests, bamboo and small patches of grasslands in between. The Pench river intersects the park and is a crucial life support system. This makes the jungle safari more exciting as it increases the diversity of animal and birdlife. The vegetation at places is very thick and this is where we will look for the tigers and leopards. As we drive on the jungle roads we are likely to encounter one animal after another and the beautiful birds. Once you experience this 758 sq.km tiger reserve you would like to keep coming back.

The wildlife package tour ends today and we drive 80 km to Nagpur. From here we will fly to New Delhi.

The morning we will take a sightseeing tour Old Delhi & New Delhi. Then you are transferred to New Delhi airport for flight back home.
